What We Collect
We collect account data, usage and billing metadata, and the file data needed to run the AI operations you request.
Where Your Project Files Live
PixLate is local-first. In the browser, projects and session data stay in local folders or browser-local storage. In the desktop app, projects live in local app storage on your device. PixLate does not act as your cloud project drive.
When Files Are Sent For Processing
When you run cleanup, OCR, or translation, PixLate securely sends the page image needed for that operation to the processing backend. That is separate from where your saved project files live.
How We Use Data
Data is used to provide translation services, improve product quality, secure the platform, and process payments.
Retention
We retain account and billing records as required for operations and legal compliance. Project files saved in PixLate remain under your control on your device unless you export or share them elsewhere.
